Nice to meet you, Tuttobene
The passion, commitment and vision of Marco Pasquini and Claudio Pecchioli have allowed them to create a brand synonymous with attention and kindness. In the TB premises delicious portions of daily well-being.
A business duo, that's the way to describe Marco Pasquini and Claudio Pecchiolli, owners of six TuttoBene stores in the Florentine hinterland. Forty years of professional experience side by side, they pioneered coffee shops in the suburbs of Florence. Since the early 1980s, they've been experimenting with new approaches to offer customers a taste-focused, well-being experience that lingers on the lips and invigorates the mind.
Because TuttoBene, as per the owners' philosophy, is "“a way of being that transforms into thinking, creating and cooking at best what is closest to our hearts: goodness.” A café, pastry shop, and elegant, welcoming meeting place run by a close-knit team of professionals who love their work.
“Once upon a time there was the Tucano Bar in Calenzano…”It was 1982, and few people were trying to open a bar to serve quick lunches for workers and aperitifs. Marco and Claudio bet on this type of service, looking for a more cosmopolitan way to work behind the bar.
“When we started our adventure, the business didn't have a well-defined soul.,”Claudio reconstructs. “Let's just say we've developed it over time. The sole objective was to meet people's needs and satisfy the customer. In those years, Calenzano was an economically depressed area; at the time, making a value-driven choice and tapping into a medium-to-high market segment was an innovative direction. We wanted to bring beauty to a world that still saw the bar simply as a meeting place, without regard for aesthetics..”
Then came the turning point with the opening of the first TuttoBene restaurant in the Campi Bisenzio industrial area. Since 2002, it has been listed among the best bars in Italy by Gambero Rosso, and after 10 years, it also received the coveted star.“Important goal achieved thanks also to our collaborators,”
says Marco“By relying on them, we've grown and opened new businesses that reflect our pursuit of beauty, taste, and well-being. Each establishment is self-managed; we maintain constant contact, but we prefer that each individual business be independent, even if it carries the TuttoBene brand..”
The spacious and refined spaces, where every detail is meticulously designed, are ideal for gatherings with friends or business meetings. The day begins with delicious breakfasts, followed by lunches, snacks, and aperitifs, and every dish is freshly prepared on-site by our chefs and pastry chefs.
The aim is to offer “portions of daily well-being to share and enjoy with a smile on your lips.”The relationship with Aba Arredamenti has lasted over 30 years, based on dialogue and the desire to improve and be better. “In 1995, we opened our second location, Caffè delle Fornaci, in the center of Sesto Fiorentino. We relied on professionals to give this place character. It was a classic café, but it needed to have all the comforts, so that every shop would have similar, yet not stereotypical, furnishings.
“"It's a pleasure to work with professionals like Massimo and Roberto. And also to clash: I believe there's been mutual growth over time."”
“From the choice of materials, to the optimization of spaces, to operational ergonomics, to the construction of the counters, we have always had a close discussion,”says Marco. “We care about actively collaborating in the process of choosing the furnishings and solutions best suited to individual needs. And it's a pleasure to work with professionals like Massimo and Roberto. And even to "clash" with one another, because I believe that over time there has been constructive discussion and mutual growth. And this has been our strength in tackling the design and construction of over 11 spaces together.”.
And, as true entrepreneurs, Marco and Claudio make no secret of occasionally thinking about their well-deserved retirement, even though they currently have a new project in the works, a new restaurant in Prato, being managed by Massimo and his daughter Rebecca.
The small empire they have built is now living a life of its own, continuing to tickle minds and palates.
